The main difference between coaching and counselling is that coaching is prospective while counselling can be both prospective and retrospective.
Although they both support your journey to a better self, coaches and counsellors may have notable differences in their methods, training, and their goals.
Coaches and counsellors are similar because they both:
want to help you create a life you feel better about
create an atmosphere of trust and non judgement
help you identify what is holding you back
focus around good listening and ask you good questions
help you become more resilient
want you to find your own answers that work for you
help you identify and work towards life goals
work to help you move forward in your career, relationships, and personal life
help you identify your core beliefs
help you reach your potential
both coaches and counsellors encourage self-discovery.

Since I am trained in coaching and counselling, I will blend both methods.
The number of recommended sessions depends on your needs
You can have as many or as few coaching sessions as desired
Some people hire a coach once every few months, some have a session once a week. It is entirely up to you.
For time-based goals like these, you should aim to meet your coach once a week at the minimum. So, you're looking at around 6 to 10 life coaching sessions in total.
Clients dealing with depression and anxiety typically experience significant improvement after 8- 20 sessions.

Your genes play an important role in your health, but so do your behaviors and your environment, such as what you eat, how active you are and how you think and behave. Epigenetics looks at how your behaviors and environment can cause changes that affect how your genes work. Unlike genetic changes, epigenetic changes are reversible and do not alter your DNA sequence, but they can change and give a positive impact the way your body reads a DNA sequence.
